Dr. Larry G. Payne DDS
Larry attended Sam Houston State University in Texas and Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating from Dental school in 1984. He has been practicing in Dekalb County for 30 years now and he loves working in this area. Larry has been happily married to Dianna for twenty-four years and has four daughters, Mallory, Sheridan, Lauren and Shelby. Some of his hobbies include hunting, golfing, camping and traveling with his family. Some quotes that inspire him are, “Things of quality have no fear of time” and “Freedom is only one generation away from being lost”. He loves dentistry because it is gratifying for him to improve the oral health of others; to improve their quality of life through helping improve the appearance, comfort and function of their teeth.

Dianna - Office Manager
Dianna has been on staff since right after she and Larry married in 1994. Before marrying Dr. Payne, Dianna attended Western Kentucky University, was a vetrinarian technician and owned a Pet Store at Glenbrook Mall. When she isn’t in the front office, you can find her in the furnace room (nicknamed that because she keeps it so warm). She does the billing, handles insurance problems and all general catchall work that needs to be done. In her spare time, she loves to study the Bible, hike, kayak, and spend time with her family and pets.
Carie - Business Administrative Assistant
Carie joined our practice in 1996 as our business coordinator. She enjoys getting to know our patients, as well as making them feel at ease before and after their appointment. She enjoys spending free time with friends and family. Her two daughters, bonus son, and grandchildren fill her heart with abounding joy. Her desire is to serve others well, "For such a time as this."
Kloudi –Dental Assistant EFDA and Business Administrative Assistant
Kloudi graduated from IPFW in 2002 with her Certificate in Dental Assisting. Kloudi started working with our team in April of 2007 as a dental assistant but in 2016 she started working in our front office as a receptionist. She has been happily married to her husband for almost 20 years, and they have three amazing children, two boys and one girl. She also has a married stepson who made them grandparents in March. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, music, photography, and nature. Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Kloudi loves working here because she likes helping patients make the best decisions for their dental health.
Kristen – Front Office Assistant
Kristen is a high school part time worker who also takes some dual credit classes at Indiana Tech. She wants to become a lawyer in the future. Kristen is one of eight children and in her free time she loves to ride her five-year-old off the track thoroughbred. Her favorite inspirational quote is, “If you aren’t in love with your life, change it.” One of the reasons she loves working at our office so much is that she can do the small things that not many people think about and make sure that the patients have a smooth and easy visit. It motivates her to make the patient's visit better and the employee’s lives easier.
Shiloh – Front office Assistant
Shiloh is also a high school student that works at the office part time. She is in eleventh grade and just started working at the office this year. She has eleven siblings and in her free time she loves playing soccer and basketball, she also enjoys spending time with her family. Shiloh loves working her because she enjoys meeting new people, she loves the staff at the office and she likes making the patients visits comfortable and smooth.
Kelly – Dental Assistant EFDA
Kelly graduated from Southern Maryland in 2000 and has worked here since July of 2015. Her past experiences include eight years in Oral Surgery and four years in Pediatric Dentistry. In her free time, she loves to travel back to Maryland to visit friends and family, or go boating on the Chesapeake. Her favorite quote is “Living the Dream” and if you ask her how she is doing she will always reply with that. Something that motivates her is seeing how happy our patient's are with a new smile.
Tiya - Dental Assistant EFDA
Tiya graduated from IPFW in 2010 and has worked in dentistry since then. She got married in 2012 and has three beautiful children. In her free time, she loves to go boating, biking, or hiking. She also enjoys attending concerts with friends and traveling. She says that she hasn't been everywhere - but it's on her list. Her favorite quote is "I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're going and hook up with them later." - Mitch Hedberg. Tiya enjoys dentistry because everyday is different, you never know what the day will bring.
Jill - Dental Hygienist RDH
Jill has been a dental hygienist for twenty-three years. She earned her degree in 1994 from Indiana University at Fort Wayne. She joined Waterloo Family Dentistry, A.K.A. "The Office of Payne" in November 2016. She keeps her license current by attending continuing education courses and completed the Local Anesthesia Course in 2013 at Owen's Community College. She has one son, who keeps her busy watching sports. They enjoy hockey games and spending time at the lake. A quote she connects with is: "Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it." She is most thankful for having God in her life.
Sarah – Dental Hygienist RDH
Sarah graduated from Indiana University at South Bend in 1999 and worked in South Bend for six years before moving back home to Auburn and started working here in 2005. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing sports. One of the reasons, she loves dentistry is the continual learning through educational courses that it provides and the ability to learn about new products. She also enjoys dentistry because she learns so much from our patients – she loves her patients! She says, “They all have something to offer, something to teach me! I enjoy helping educate patients and see how their mouths can be transformed into a healthy happy mouth.”
Terrilynn – Dental Hygienist RDH
Terri graduated in 2006 with dual majors in Dental Hygiene and General Studies from Indiana University. She began working for our team in January 2017 after a term of self-contracting her services to help other hygienists take time off to care for themselves and their families. She enjoys time with her husband, chihuahuas, adult daughters and growing family. Their free time is spent enjoying Colt’s football, theater productions, grandparenting time, and traveling. When alone, she reads and caters to her artistic nature by creating things discovered on Pinterest. She is inspired by stories of people overcoming hardships and she strives to make every patient’s day a bit brighter with a smile. She believes that dentistry is much easier on those with anxiety through gentle, compassionate care.
